I was burnt out.
Sitting alone in my office, trying to study for a Part 107 test... I found buckets of tears running down my face. Literally nothing made sense. I tried reaching out for help, but no one took the time to explain anything to me.
But I knew I needed a change in my business. It felt like everyone was a wedding photographer. And I was sick of having the locations I found and poses I used duplicated again, and again, and again.
I need a new perspective. Something people couldn't copy. I also needed my weekends back. For me, the breaking point came when I couldn't sign my son up for soccer... because they only played games on Saturday mornings. And if I had to stay awake and edit one more gallery, I was gonna loose it.
Maybe you're like me, and you feel exhausted from long, grueling wedding days... or maybe you're chasing after little ones during family photo sessions? Or you’re simultaneously trying to edit photos, answer emails, and keep your kids entertained? Maybe you’re awake until 2:00am trying to edit photos because your deadline to send your client’s photos was last week?
